Senior Business Analyst
$500 - $520 AUD hourly
· Role description - SBA demand for TOM (Target Operating Model)
· Strong business analysis capability (primary focus – 60-65%)
· Operating Model knowledge and experience (Lead (as BA role with allocated Service) futurestate process and operating model design, build and embed activities including process mapping, workshops, accountability models (e.g. RASCI), and alignment to value chains or capabilities)
· Technical & data awareness (40%)- Act as a bridge between business intent and solution delivery, supporting translation of TOM requirements into solutionlevel considerations
· Tools and tracking through Visio, JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint to name a few
· Key responsibilities
· Conduct impact assessments of upstream UNITE Transformation Stream Projects (TSPs) to identify downstream impacts to Customer Production and Support.
· Should have API integration experience in Banking domain to assist in assessments
· Partner with business and technology stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for delivery teams.
· Conducted current and future state analysis of the Targeted Operating Model (TOM) to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
· Facilitated stakeholder workshops with business units, SMEs, architects, and operational teams to elicit and document business and technical requirements.
Produced Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional
· Requirements Documents (FRDs), Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), and process documentation.
· Analysed the efficiency of the data flows, system interfaces, dependencies, and business impacts across enterprise platforms.
· Collaborated with Product Owners and delivery teams to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery backlogs.
· Supported the technology testing activities including test planning, requirements validation of the software and supporting infrastructure, detailing defect analysis, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
· Translate business needs into delivery-ready artefacts, including user stories, business requirements, acceptance criteria, and backlog items for Agile Release Trains.
· Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to understand business processes, requirements, risks, and operational impacts.
· Develop current-state and future-state process maps to support solution design and business readiness activities.
· Support business readiness and change management activities, ensuring impacts are understood and effectively managed across affected teams.
· Support business documentation uplift, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
· Review training materials and support training delivery to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
· Prepare and coordinate business communications to support change implementation and stakeholder awareness.
· Plan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenarios, test cases, defect management, and business sign-off activities.
Support Business Process Integrated Validation (BPIV) and end-to-end testing activities to validate business outcomes and operational readiness. Analyse risks, dependencies, and operational impacts, and provide recommendations to support delivery and implementation decisions.
· Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Delivery Teams, and Change Managers to ensure business requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly understood.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance customer, employee, and operational outcomes.
