Your greatest work is ahead!

Leidos Defense Sensors' Open Air Sensors Division is seeking a technically strong and highly motivated Technical Project Manager to support and ultimately assume leadership of an established portfolio of software-intensive defense programs.

This position provides a unique succession opportunity. The selected candidate will work alongside and be mentored by the incumbent Program Manager during a planned two-year transition and knowledge-transfer period. During this period, the incoming Project Manager will progressively assume responsibility for customer relationships, technical execution, cost and schedule performance, contractual commitments, proposal activities, and long-range portfolio strategy.

The successful candidate will combine technical understanding with strong project leadership, customer engagement, and business acumen. The role requires the ability to work effectively across software engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, Information Assurance, IT, test, security, finance, contracts, procurement, and facilities organizations while maintaining a strong focus on customer mission needs.

The ideal candidate does not need to possess every aspect of the incumbent Program Manager's experience on day one. The position is designed for an individual with a strong technical and leadership foundation who has the desire and can develop the specialized program, customer, contractual, and operational knowledge required to assume full ownership of the portfolio.
